How it works

Six steps, and what we check before anything is listed

This directory is only worth using if the listings can be trusted. Here is exactly what happens.

  1. 1

Tell us the condition, not just the service

“Physiotherapist” narrows almost nothing. Every listing here declares which conditions it has genuinely worked with, so you can filter to people who have treated a spinal cord injury before rather than finding out on the first appointment.

  2. 2

    We check the area

The hub covers the Helderberg basin. Disability services are thin on the ground, so the catchment is deliberately wide — a specialist an hour away is often the only one there is.

  3. 3

    You get three real options

The three highest-rated providers matching your condition and category, with their access details attached. Not a page of results to wade through.

  4. 4

We connect you and step back

One tap opens a WhatsApp chat directly with the provider. We are not in the middle of that conversation, and we take no commission on the work.

  5. 5

    You rate them afterwards

Only people we actually referred can rate a provider, so ratings cannot be gamed by strangers or bought. That rating decides who the next person sees.

  6. 6

    Peer support sits alongside it

Support groups are listed and searchable by the same condition filters, with every meeting on a public calendar — including the ones that get cancelled.

What we check before a listing goes live

Registration numbers

Practitioners give us their HPCSA, SANC or Legal Practice Council number and we check it against the register before approval. If it does not check out, the listing does not go live.

Access details

We ask specific questions — is the entrance step-free, is there a hoist, which side does the toilet transfer from — and record the answers. “Accessible” on its own is not an answer we accept.

Condition experience

We ask what a provider has actually worked with, and push back on listings that tick every box. A directory where everyone claims everything is no better than a phone book.

No paid placement

There is no tier that buys position, and there never will be. The moment placement is for sale the shortlist stops being worth reading.

What we do not do

  • We do not endorse anyone. A listing means we checked what we could check, not that we vouch for the work.
  • We do not give medical, legal or financial advice, and we are not a crisis service. If you are in danger, contact emergency services.
  • We do not stay in the conversation once you are connected, and we take no commission on any work that follows.
  • We cannot guarantee access details are still accurate. Buildings change and lifts break — if you find something wrong, tell us and we will correct it the same day.
